Sovereignty the Video Game
Branding + Illustration
Designer Chris Rodriguez and I collaborated on an dark fantasy video game project called Sovereignty. Together we were able to immerse users with the power of pixel art and storytelling.
I’ve had the responsibility of systemizing social media posts, gaming assets, and NFT artworks that tied with this game. I feel very proud challenging myself with an art style I was not familiar with.
As you’ll navigate through this project, you’ll go on an epic quest just like we did.
Social Media
A Promotional Necessity
A huge part of promoting the game came down to the illustrations and the story telling on Twitter before final release. It gave followers a reason to get excited! This extended to illustrations referencing the game to an awesome trailer.
The Game
A Collaboration Between My Co Worker
Chris was very intentional with the interface. The dark screens with the choice of a medieval font felt fantasy-like. He even had to organize all the information clearly for the user, which is quite challenging in itself. I mainly helped by creating icons and tiles to support the game.
Video Game Icons and Tiles
Each One Cute and Satisfying to Complete
The video game required a huge library of icons and tile assets. This truly encapsulates the whole world of Sovereignty.
NFT Art
NfTS of Orcs, Goblins, and Skeletons
Below are some snippets that cover the bare surface of these NFTs. These were meant to support the game. There was a long list of assets such as clothes, facial expressions, weapons, head pieces, and hairstyles, which were all needed to compose very detailed art pieces. All of these assets helped complete a 500+ NFT set!
