Zest
Branding + Illustration + Animation
Zest is a way for shoppers to enjoy e-commerce gifting.
The branding itself relied on funky typography, a custom letter mark, and goofy characters drawn in pencil. What do these characters gift each other? Pineapples!
The project itself was extremely celebratory and fun. I loved working with the client because it was so outside the box. As you see on the right, I even had the opportunity to make a very complex animation for their website.
The Logo
A Unique Z!
I really wanted Zest to to be slightly unique compared to other sans serif logos in the market. I created a custom “z” in Zest with a tail instead and rounded the corners of the word mark. It’s a small edit, but certainly adds character compared to any ordinary “z”!

My team and I built out the general website of Zest. The website contains a fun color palette of black against yellow with accents of pink, light blue, and green.

The wallpaper on the right was used for their Twitter and is based on wrapping paper patterns! The pattern and brand imagery overall is very party-like! Below was a proposal for their Instagram.
